The web tension load cell operates on a straightforward principle. The rope is threaded over the integrated sheave. As tension is applied to the rope, it creates a downward force on the sheave. This force is precisely measured by the internal strain gauges and converted into a proportional electrical signal. This signal is then sent to a readout display, PLC, or data acquisition system for monitoring, recording, or control purposes.
